| Just a brief note to remind you all that I exist. I am back at
the Josephinum. There is more coming soon, I promise this
time. I would write more, but the fact is that I am really tired
so must go to sleep now...I promise that I will update soon...really.

| Just an update to remind you all that I exist. We have begun the
second summer session, Chad and I are taking philosophy of God.
It doesn't seem too though thus far (it will be no match for us).
I will post an extended update sometime in the near future so STAY TUNED!

| Taking a break from writing a rough draft so update for all of you...the people.
I finally got a roll of film so that I can take some pictures of the
goings on up here and of the gigantic church that lives across the
street from us, it is quite beautiful.
I forgot to mention in my last post that Chad and myself took the metro
to get to the Smithsonian . This was my first experience riding
on a metro and it was quite interesting. That is all, there is no
big story about the metro...it was interesting, no more need be said.
Just so that you people do not think that I, Josh, have been slacking
off this summer, I have not been. In addition to the massive
amount of reading that I am doing for poetry class, I have also been
doing some outside-of-the-classroom reading. Currently I am
attempting to read "The Power and the Glory" by Graham Greene (although
not the same edition pictured above). It
is slow going thus far due to the amount of for-class reading, but the
book is pretty good.
Class, by the way, is a truly amazing thing. I am gaining a vast
appreciation for all poetry, not just the period that we are studying,
I am even enjoying the poetry readings on the Cowboy Cultural Society
radio even more (if that was even possible). I am also doing
quite well in the class, grades wise, for all of you that are
interested.
Other Newts:
Chad and I attended the Divine Liturgy (most of it anyways) at the
Polish National Shrine of the Holy Family which is right down the road
from the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The
Liturgy itself was in both Ukranian and English which was neat, but the
church itself had a kind of unfinished look, mostly because it is
unfinished. They are not quite done painting the inside, but it
still looks pretty alright...the icon screen is very nice.

| I am updating once again, this time from Washington DC. Chad and
I have finally gotten setteled and found our way around the city.
Yesterday we went to the Smithsonian and I purchased for myself a
poster for a mere $.99. We also went to the natural history
museum. The dinosaur bones there were neat, but the big
attraction seemed to be the Hope Diamond. There was a big crowd
of people around it and I had to shoulder my way through the mob in
order to see it, but once I got there it didn't seem to be such a big
deal. I know that it is the largest cut diamond in the world, but
I didn't think it was THAT great or nuthin'.
Anyhow, I will update more later...

| Not much time to update. It is finals week which means that I
have mucho papers due and am trying to get ready to move to Washington
in six days. I will update for longer when this is over.
Pray for us all as this semester comes to a close.
